D.O. Jumilla
Located in south‑eastern Spain, D.O. Jumilla is known for its Mediterranean climate, altitude and old‑vine Monastrell. The region combines intense sunlight with cool nights, giving wines great concentration, structure and freshness.
Deep, high-intensity cherry red colour with subtle garnet and ruby hues at the rim, reflecting its evolution during aging. Bright and clean, with a dense, almost opaque core. Noticeable viscosity, forming slow, tinted tears on the glass, indicating good structure, concentration, and alcohol integration.
Intense and expressive nose, with ripe black fruit aromas such as plum and blackberry, complemented by notes of sweet spices, cocoa, and subtle balsamic hints. Aging in oak barrels brings additional complexity, with elegant nuances of vanilla, toasted wood, and a light smoky background.
Full-bodied and well-structured on the palate, with firm yet polished tannins and balanced acidity. Ripe dark fruit flavours integrate harmoniously with notes derived from oak aging, including spice, toast, and a hint of cocoa. The wine shows good concentration and a long, persistent finish with a refined, slightly smoky character.
