D.O. Yecla
D.O. Yecla is a compact appellation in south‑eastern Spain with a strong identity built around Monastrell. Protected by surrounding mountains and influenced by both continental and Mediterranean climates, Yecla produces wines with ripe fruit, good structure and a distinctive sense of place.
Pale to medium lemon-yellow colour with bright golden reflections. Clean and luminous, with excellent clarity. Light to moderate viscosity, forming fine, quick tears that suggest freshness and balanced alcohol.
Fresh and aromatic nose, with notes of citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit, complemented by white peach and subtle floral hints. Delicate nuances of Mediterranean herbs add complexity, enhancing its lively and expressive character.
Fresh and well-balanced on the palate, with vibrant acidity and a light to medium body. Flavours of citrus and stone fruit are complemented by a subtle herbal touch. The wine is clean, crisp, and refreshing, with a pleasant and persistent finish.
